An excellent 2012 concludes with record sales.

WoodEye recorded its best ever sakes week in December. Over a period of seven days the company succeeded in selling seven WoodEye timber scanning systems. These sales to customers in Germany, Canada and Russia, among other contries, largely involved the latest system WoodEye 5. According to WoodEye, the strong end to 2012 is down to buyers wanting the latest technology in order to optimise production and thus deliveries in a competetive market.

“We are extremely pleased with the figures for 2012 and the fact that we secured so many sales in such a short space of time. Our attention will now turn to the future and what we can accomplish during 2013,” says Jonas Eklind, CEO and President of Innovativ Vision. 2012 was a good year for the company, with sales of WoodEye 5 and WoodEye One to customers in Europe, North America and Asia.

The WoodEye 5 was launched on the global market in June 2011. The scanner, which is the fifth generation WoodEye, is completely unique compared to earlier scanners from Innovativ Vision. It is equipped with ultramodern industrial computers and an integrated infeed and outfeed system. It boasts the latest camera and laser technology, a precise inspection system and capability for six-sided inspection. The new user interface in the WoodEye 5, with multi-touch functions, interactive parameter settings and self diagnostics, puts the scanner in a class of its own regarding user friendliness. Together these qualities give the WoodEye 5 outstanding capacity for detection and optimisation.

The first WoodEye scanner was launched in 1987, and since then Innovativ Vision has retained its market position as a technological leader in automated wood inspection. Based on advanced sensor, data and image processing technology, WoodEye inspects and analyses the wood, which optimises production for a better return, higher value and improved productivity. WoodEye is available for various applications such as cross-cut and rip sawing, and grading for quality. Innovativ Vision has over 450 installations. Customers include sawmills and
producers of components, furniture, windows, construction timber and glulam beams, panel and edge planing, glulam segments for panels, parquet and flooring.
