WoodEye by Innovativ Vision did receive a new large order, this time from a company based in Japan. The order includes several systems and is one of the larger in WoodEye history. WoodEye’s work at the Asian market has increased in recent years and this order is seen as an important step in the right direction. In addition to the new order from Japan, WoodEye have had a good order frequency in the past 18 months.

Jonas Eklind, President of WoodEye, was very pleased with the new order confirmation, «It is important that we can be a significant player at the Asian market, and this order is really a proof on that. We have worked hard for a long time at the Japanese market and promote ourselves in Asia, now it’s beginning to yield results.».

The first WoodEye scanner was launched in 1985, and since then Innovativ Vision has retained its market position as a technological leader in automated wood inspection. Based on advanced sensor, data and image processing technology, WoodEye inspects and analyses the wood, which optimises production for a better return, higher value and improved productivity. WoodEye is available for various applications such as cross-cut and rip sawing, and grading for quality. Innovativ Vision has nearly 500 installations. Customers include sawmills and producers of components, furniture, windows, construction timber and glulam beams, panel and edge planing, glulam segments for panels, parquet and flooring.
