Innovativ Vision has now sold 500 systems of their wood scanning system WoodEye. It was SIA Latvani from Latvia which became the owner of WoodEye number 500 and the choice fell on a WoodEye 5 Cross Cut.The deal was signed on Friday 10th of May between WoodEye CEO Jonas Eklind and Laimonis Onzuls, CEO at SIA Latvani CEO.

In addition to the sale of number 500, WoodEye signed three more orders during the LIGNA Fair 2013. A WoodEye One was sold to the russian company CJSC AVA Company, a WoodEye 5 to a customer in Austria och finally an upgrade of a WoodEye 4 to a company in China. The WoodEye booth did get a lot of visitors during the whole exhibition week and the LIGNA fair broke several records. A total of 90,000 professionals visited the fair and took part of material from over 1600 exhibitors.

The first WoodEye scanner was launched in 1985, and since then Innovativ Vision has retained its market position as a technological leader in automated wood inspection. Based on advanced sensor, data and image processing technology, WoodEye inspects and analyses the wood, which optimises production for a better return, higher value and improved productivity. WoodEye is available for various applications such as cross-cut and rip sawing, and grading for quality. Innovativ Vision has nearly 500 installations. Customers include sawmills and producers of components, furniture, windows, construction timber and glulam beams, panel and edge planing, glulam segments for panels, parquet and flooring.
